This image is of the Boundary Stream, just down from the Shine Falls. The location is in the Hawkes Bay of New Zealand.
This reserve is what is termed a Mainland island- an area of native forest surrounded by farmland (rather than the sea). Invasive predators and pests are aggressively controlled so that native wildlife, including kiwis, can thrive.
For this shot I was using a 15mm lens and Sony a7Riii. The shutter speed was slowed to 1.6 sec with a 6-stop filter.
