This scene was taken in the Tangoio Scenic Reserve, near Napier in NZ. It's the second shot of this stream from this trip.

At this particular point the water was rushing in a loud torrent. It took some careful setting up of the tripod, as one leg had to be almost fully extended to each the bottom of a rock pool. The other legs were splayed in a way to contact rocks for stability.

For this shot I set the camera up at a low perspective, and used an ND filter to slow the shutter further.

What appealed to me in this scene was also the pink blossoms on the opposite bank. This added an interesting element of colour.
